LLG Micromagnetics Simulator 微磁氣模擬軟體
LLG Micromagnetics SimulatorTM is a full 3-dimensional simulation tool with integrated graphics that solves the Landau-Liftshitz-Gilbert-Langevin equations by relaxation and/or integration. With LLG, you can characterize micromagnetic structure and dynamics in films, on surfaces and in devices and materials.
Applications:
- LLG computes the equilibrium magnetization distribution in small particles and in thin films, as well as computes fundamental properties, such as the coercive field, switching time, interlayer coupling strength, vortex and domain wall lengths.
- LLG simulates the structure and response of magnetic devices, such as magnetic random access memory, spin valves, AMR and GMR heads, and magnetic sensors.
- LLG computes standard magnetic imaging contrast mechanisms realized in Lorentz microscopy, electron holography, SEMPA, and magnetic force microscopy. For MFM, the tip can be part of the relaxation process, whereby the sample field reorients the tip magnetization.
LLG has been implemented for ease of use and flexibility. It takes advantage of Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.0 (Windows 2000®/Windows xP®), the Microsoft Foundation Class Libraries and system-level Windows® utilities. The result is an easy to use, robust and fast computation package. The program has the look and feel of a typical Windows NT® product (Windows 2000®/Windows xP®), complete with menus, dialogs, Windows®, file managers and interactive tools and controls. The graphics, which you can interact with dynamically, are implemented with OpenGL.

System requirements:
To install and run LLG Micromagnetics Simulator you must have at least the following:
- A 600 MHz Pentium.
- 256 MB of RAM.
- A video card that supports a minimum of 16 million colors at 1280 x 1024 resolution, such as the ELSA WinnerTM 2000 ProX (4-MB RAM) or the Matrox MilleniumTM II (4-MB RAM).
- A 17" monitor that supports at least 1280 x 1024 at 70 Hz. although the letters appear rather small..
- Service pack 3 for the NT4.0 workstation, Windows 2000 or Windows xP.
To take advantage of LLG on an NT 4.0sp3+/Win-2000/Win-xP, you should have the following:
- A Pentium III/IV 2GHz, CPU. Dual CPUs are supported.
- 512MB of RAM are required for larger problems. 2GB is the maximum memory allowed to a single process in Windows.
- An AdaptecTM 2940 UltraWide SCSI adapter (68 pin adapter), 36 GB hard drive for data and a 4 mm DAT tape backup are recommended. Fast SCSI controllers are good for accessing disk files quickly.
- A high-end fast OpenGL video card, such as 3D LABS video card, (32 MB RAM and a Glint chip).
- A 21" monitor, such as the View SonicTM 810, which supports resolutions up to 1600x1200 at 70Hz.
